Gov. Susana Martinez (R-NM) is a rising star in GOP circles. In fact, she's on many short lists to be the VP nominee on the GOP Presidential ticket.
Martinez is attractive to GOPers for the fact she's a woman, she's Hispanic, and she takes the hard line on illegal immigration. She takes such a hard line on illegal immigration, she's even taken Rick Perry to the woodshed for supporting the DREAM Act and other immigration reform. Her current goal is to bar illegal immigrants from obtaining driver's licenses.
But she's always been a little unclear on her own family's history. Probably with good reason.
